About the studio

Small studio.
Serious craft.

Studio Creative is the independent design practice of Camille Moreau. For ten years we have designed identities, websites and illustrated worlds for brands that want to stand for something — and look like it.

Being small is the point. Every project gets the same pair of eyes from first sketch to launch, budgets go into the work instead of overhead, and decisions take a conversation, not a committee.

How we got here

Ten years, four
decisions that stuck.

Every one of them made the studio smaller and the work better, which was not the plan at the time.

  1. 2016

    One desk, one client

Camille left an agency where the work was good and the process was not. The first client was a bakery that needed a sign, a menu and a name people could spell.

  2. 2019

    Design and build, together

Handing finished designs to a developer we never met kept costing clients the last ten percent. So we learned to build them ourselves, and stopped losing it.

  3. 2022

    Systems, not artefacts

The projects that aged well all had the same thing: rules the client could follow without us. Guidelines stopped being a deliverable and became the point.

  4. Today

    Two projects at a time

Deliberately small, deliberately slow to book. It is the only arrangement where the person you meet is the person who does the work.

Who you will work with

Camille Moreau

Founder & Creative Director

Founder and creative director of Studio Creative. Camille has spent a decade designing identities and websites for independent brands that want to stand for something.

Whichever service you book, this is the person in the first call, the weekly reviews and the hand-off. There is nobody behind her to pass the work to — which is the whole argument for a studio this size.

How we think

Three commitments,
kept on every project.

Craft over volume

A few projects at a time, each with the founder in the room. No hand-offs to a junior team you never met.

Honest by default

Real timelines, real budgets, and a "no" when an idea will not serve you — before it costs you anything.

Built to last

Identities and websites designed to age well, with guidelines and hand-offs your next hire can pick up.

Honestly

Who this studio
is and is not for.

Saying no early is cheaper for both of us than saying it in week three.

A good fit

  • Founders replacing an identity that no longer fits the company
  • Teams whose site was built once, in a hurry, three years ago
  • Brands with a range about to grow, and no system to grow it with
  • Anyone who would rather have three opinions than thirty

Probably not

  • Work that needs to start next Monday
  • A logo on its own, with no system around it
  • Ongoing ad creative at volume — a production studio does that better
  • Projects where design is signed off by committee
